What's the difference between Hand Balms vs Hand Lotions?

Are hand balms and hand lotions different? The answer is yes, they are!

Hand Lotions are water based. You will see this listed as 'aqua' in the ingredients list. Since there's water, companies will often add synthetic preservatives or alcohol to prevent bacteria from growing. And while alcohol is fun to drink, it's not so good for the skin.

The low amount of oil in lotions also mean that it doesn't keep your skin moisturized for long. Ever feel like you have to keep putting on more lotion?

Hand Balms are oil and wax based. The great thing about this is that we can make them without the use of synthetic preservatives! 

You only get the good stuff!

This also means that our balms are MUCH more concentrated than traditional hand lotions. 

One of our main ingredients is candelilla wax, which offers intense protection for your hands. The nourishing oils help keep the skin deeply moisturized.
